About Me

About Me

I enrolled into 'News Reporting and Writing' because I strive to become an editor within Journalism. I'm a Journalism major because my passion in life lies in writing. I hope for my work and editing to eventually make a difference and impact within my community in the future. I'm interested in learning about journalism to gain the knowledge I need to be a successful editor. Outside of Journalism, I have a lot of passion for my art and poetry, I also am into gaming and want to eventually begin streaming. I also have a book in the works that I've had planned out for the past couple years.

My Goals

Three goals that I have for this term are to gain more confidence in myself in general, be able to talk to people more comfortably, and get more involved with the Commuter.

My First Story

My first story is going to be focused on local and on-campus creators and small artists of all kinds, asking them things such as:

1. What inspired this (idea/major work/etc) and what got you started on it in general?

2. What is your goal for where you want this to go or what would you like it to lead you toward in the future?

3. How long have you been working on (major work/project?)

4. What is the background or meaning within your (piece/work/project)?

5. Do you see your work surpassing you? What kind of impact do you think this has left on you when it comes to your own growth?

My three sources for this piece include Kaylee Marsh, Damian Riley, and Scotia Kaye.
